The cartoon images displayed in this page have been created in Photoshop, and Illustrator, in an “ad hoc,” “trial-and-error,” and spontaneous fashion, without preparing for the final execution with concept sketches, as in the creative process with other projects.

The projects below show how normal digital images could be transformed into cartoon or caricature images with Photoshop’s Warp, Distort, Liquify and other tools and settings. For more details, read the instructional manual titled Using Adobe Photoshop to Create Digital Cartoons or Caricatures. Right-click the original images and select the “Save picture as…” option to download the images, follow the step-by-step instructions to learn the methods.

Read the instructional manual titled Using Adobe Photoshop to Create Digital Cartoons or Caricatures. Right-click the original images and select the “Save picture as…” option to download the images, follow the step-by-step instructions to learn the methods. Next, use the methods explored in the instructional manual, take digital photos of animals, buildings, and yourselves, use Photoshop’s Warp, Distort, Liquify, Poster Edge, and other tools and settings to transform these normal digital images into cartoon or caricature images. Select the most interesting ones, email them together with the original source image to me with a short paragraph stating your request and authorization to publish it on my website’s Student Works Section, including your name and the name of your school; if you want viewers to contact you through email, please indicate so. Set images to 72 dpi resolution; set the image sizes to less than 7 inch by 7 inch; save them in JPEG. If your work is interesting to me, I will upload it to my website.
