This page displays my storyboard samples completed with pencils, ball point pens, and color pencils. Most of the projects displayed in this page have been completed in the Animation 217 – Storyboard course taught by Professor Rosa Farre at East Los Angeles College, Spring 2018; others have been completed beyond the course.

The Birth of the Manchu Nation Storyboard
This is the Final Project for the Animation 217 – Storyboard course; and it is the storyboards for a part of The Birth of the Manchu Nation story featured in my Illustration Techniques webpage. In this project, ball point pens and drawing pencils (4B and 6B) have been used to create images of parts of characters, props and scenes, and they have been composed in Adobe Photoshop into whole characters, scenes and storyboards, using Edit/Transform/Warp, Filters/Liquify and other tools and settings. The original story is enclosed in the file below.

The Apartment Entry - Police Investigation Storyboard
This is one of the storyboard project for the Animation 217 - Storyboard course, and it includes two versions, one as the draft and the other as revision. The draft version is drawn with drawing pencils as line art sketches only. In the revised version, characters have been re-designed to reflect the unique traits of each character; some new panels have been created to replace the old ones; and shadows and other lighting effects have been created.

The System Failure Storyboard
This is one of the storyboard project for the Animation 217 - Storyboard course, and it includes two versions, one as the first version and the other is a completely new version. The first version is drawn with HB drawing pencils and black markers. In the second version, characters have been re-designed to reflect the unique traits of each character; all panels have been created with ball point pen and 4B and 6B drawing pencils; and shadows and other lighting effects have been created for all parts of the panels.

Kung Fu Panda Storyboard
This is an exercise based on different shots used in Kung Fu Panda II, a Disney movie hosted in YouTube. It is a set of refined illustration, with two versions; one is black line arts, and the other is colored with color pencils.
